First Games for Japan
In May 1923, Miyama was chosen to play for the Japan national team. They were going to compete in the 1923 Far Eastern Championship Games in Osaka.
On May 23, he played his very first game for Japan against the Philippines. This was a special moment because it was Japan's first-ever official international match! The team lost that game 1-2.
The next day, he played another match against the Republic of China. Japan lost this game too, with a score of 1-5. In total, Shizuo Miyama played 2 games for Japan in 1923.
