Saint-Laurent-les-Bains was once a small town, or commune, located in the Ardèche area of southern France. Think of a commune like a local district or a small municipality. This charming place was known for its natural beauty and peaceful setting.
On January 1, 2019, Saint-Laurent-les-Bains joined with another nearby commune, Laval-d'Aurelle. Together, they formed a new, larger commune called Saint-Laurent-les-Bains-Laval-d'Aurelle. This kind of merger happens when smaller towns decide to combine to share resources and manage their areas more effectively.
