Saint-Marc-Jaumegarde (in Provençal it's called Sant Marc de Jaumegarda) is a small town, also known as a commune, in southern France. It is part of the Bouches-du-Rhône department.

This commune is found in a beautiful part of southern France. It is about 6 kilometers (about 3.7 miles) from a bigger city called Aix-en-Provence. It's also close to Vauvenargues, Bouches-du-Rhône and Le Tholonet.

Saint-Marc-Jaumegarde is very close to the famous Montagne Sainte-Victoire. This mountain is well-known for its stunning views. The area also has two lakes that people made: Lake Bimont and Lake Zola. A small stream called Prignon also flows through the area.

Early Ownership and Lords
In the year 1239, the land where Saint-Marc-Jaumegarde now stands was given away. It was given to the Lord of Esparon by a ruler named Ramon Berenguer IV, Count of Provence.
Later, around 1490, a person named Jacques Garde became the Lord of Saint-Marc. About twenty years after that, the land went to Dauphine Garde. She was married to Bertrand de Puget.
The Meyronnet Family and Famous Visitors
In 1723, Saint-Marc was sold to the Meyronnet family. This family had important jobs as advisors in the Provence Parliament. In 1784 and 1785, Philippe de Meyronnet invited two very famous brothers to his estate. These brothers were Lucien Bonaparte and Joseph Bonaparte. They were the younger brothers of Napoleon Bonaparte, who would later become a very important leader of France.
