Sam Aston, whose full name is Samuel David Aston, was born on June 7, 1993. He is an English actor. Sam is famous for playing the character Chesney Brown in the popular TV show Coronation Street. He has been part of the show since 2003.
Sam Aston's Acting Journey
Sam Aston started acting when he was very young. His first TV appearance was at age five as an extra in a show called Eddie Mountain. He also appeared in other TV series like Where the Heart Is and The Bill.
In 2003, after four auditions, Sam got the role of Chesney Brown in the long-running TV soap opera Coronation Street. This show is broadcast on ITV.
Awards and Special Appearances
Sam's acting in Coronation Street quickly earned him recognition. In 2004, he won the Best Newcomer award at the National Television Awards. The next year, he received another award: Best Dramatic Performance for a Young Actor or Actress at the British Soap Awards.
Sam also had some special moments outside of acting. In October 2005, he presented a bouquet of flowers to Queen Elizabeth II at a party celebrating 50 years of ITV. In June 2006, he appeared as Horrid Henry in the Children's Party at the Palace. This event celebrated the Queen's 80th birthday. Sam has also appeared on the TV show All Star Family Fortunes with his family. In 2025, Sam Aston is expected to be a contestant on the show Dancing on Ice.

Sam Aston has an older sister named Emily Aston. She is also an actress and played Becky Palmer in Coronation Street from 1996 to 1997.
In 2017, Sam got engaged to Briony Gardner, who is a yoga teacher. He proposed to her at a charity golf dinner. Sam hosts this event every year with his co-stars Andy Whyment and Alan Halsall. In May 2020, Sam and Briony shared the happy news that they were going to have their first child. In October 2021, they announced they were expecting their second child. Then, in November 2023, they announced they were expecting their third child.
