Sanjeeda Sheikh (born December 20, 1984) is an Indian actress who appears in Hindi-language movies and television shows. She is famous for her roles in popular TV series like Kyaa Hoga Nimmo Kaa, Kayamath, and Ek Hasina Thi.

More recently, Sanjeeda has acted in movies such as Taish (2020) and Fighter (2024). She also appeared in the popular web series Heeramandi in 2024.

Early Life

Sanjeeda Sheikh was born on December 20, 1984, in Kuwait. Her family is originally from Ahmedabad, Gujarat, in India.

Career

Television Star (2003–2019)

Sanjeeda started her acting career on television. Her first role was as Nimmo in the 2005 TV show Kyaa Hoga Nimmo Kaa. After that, she played a villain character in the 2007 series Kayamath.

In the same year, she joined the dance competition show Nach Baliye 3 with her husband, Aamir Ali. They performed so well that they won the competition!

In 2014, Sanjeeda starred in Ek Hasina Thi. She played Durga Thakur, a strong young woman seeking justice for her sister. This show was a major success and made her very popular with audiences and critics.

Later, in 2016, she played a mother for the first time on screen in the show Ishq Ka Rang Safed. In 2017, she starred in the TV series Love Ka Hai Intezaar as a famous superstar named Kamini Mathur.

Movie and Web Series Roles (2020–Present)

In 2020, Sanjeeda acted in her first major Hindi movie, Taish. In the same year, she also appeared in the Netflix horror movie Kaali Khuhi.

Her first movie in 2024 was Fighter, where she played the wife of an Air Force officer. The movie was a huge hit. That same year, she played a character named Waheeda in the series Heeramandi. A reviewer for WION said that Sanjeeda made a big impact with her emotional role.

On March 2, 2012, Sanjeeda married actor Aamir Ali, whom she had dated for a long time. The couple has a daughter named Ayra Ali, who was born in 2019.

Sanjeeda and Aamir separated in 2020 and are no longer married. Sanjeeda has custody of their daughter.
