Sarah was a very important woman in the Old Testament of the Bible. She was the wife of Abraham, a key figure in many religions. Her story is told in the book of Genesis, from chapters 12 to 23.
Sarah and Abraham got married in a place called Haran. For a long time, Sarah could not have children. This was a big deal in her time.

Sarah's original name was Sarai. But God changed her name to Sarah, which means 'princess'. This new name showed her important role.
The Birth of Isaac
Even though she was very old, Sarah had a son with Abraham. She was 90 years old when her son, Isaac, was born. This was seen as a miracle.
Her Life and Resting Place
Sarah lived a long life, reaching 127 years old. After she passed away, Abraham buried her in Hebron. This place is in what is now known as the West Bank. Her burial site is believed to be in the Cave of the Patriarchs.

The name Sarah is still very popular today. It is a common female name, especially in English. In Hebrew, the name Sarah means 'princess'. It's a beautiful meaning for such an important person. If you were in Spain, the name "Sara" would mean "Fairy".
