Sarah-Jane Crawford is a well-known English TV and radio presenter, actress, and DJ. She is famous for her work on Hits Radio and previously on BBC Radio 1Xtra. You might also know her from TV shows on E! Network, ITV2 (like The Xtra Factor), BBC, and Channel 4. Sarah-Jane has also hosted and appeared in shows for the Disney Channel and MTV. Since 2015, she has been a vegan and even launched a vegan app called Viappi in November 2017.

Her Early Life
Sarah-Jane Crawford was born in Lambeth, London. Her parents were from Ireland and the Caribbean. She was adopted when she was two months old. She went to schools in Dulwich Hamlet and Sydenham Girls' School. Later, she moved to Cambridgeshire for her last years of secondary school. Before becoming a TV presenter, Sarah-Jane studied Marketing. She attended both Kingston University and Anglia Ruskin University. She graduated with a good degree.
Her Career Journey
Sarah-Jane's career started in 2001 on a show called Shipwrecked 3 on Channel 4. In 2007, she began presenting. She hosted the Red Carpet and Back Stage show for the Vodafone Live Music Awards. This was for The Hits music video channel, now known as 4music.
TV Shows and Interviews
In 2007, Sarah-Jane joined E4 Music Zone and Freshly Squeezed for Channel 4. This allowed her to interview many famous people. She talked to stars like Robert De Niro, Usher, Nicole Scherzinger, and will.i.am. She also interviewed actors like Colin Farrell, Kate Hudson, and Renée Zellweger.
On July 25, 2008, Sarah-Jane was a special guest on Big Brother's Big Mouth. She also appeared on Big Brother's Little Brother on August 18, 2008. In October 2009, she helped launch the UK MTV channel VIVA. This was MTV's first new channel. In August 2010, she started hosting The Music Alphabet on MTV HD. In September 2010, she appeared in a Nintendo TV ad. She was with Jonathan Ross and Ant and Dec, celebrating 25 years of Mario.
In July 2013, she co-hosted the BBC Three coverage of T in the Park festival. She worked with Greg James. In August 2013, Sarah-Jane co-hosted BBC Three's first Urban Classic Prom. This event was at the Royal Albert Hall. She hosted it with Charlie Sloth. In October 2013, she co-hosted the Mobo Awards with Trevor Nelson. This show was on BBC One and BBC Three.
In December 2013, Sarah-Jane was a celebrity panelist. She appeared on four episodes of I'm a Celebrity get me out of here now on ITV2. On August 30, 2014, she became the presenter of The Xtra Factor. This was The X Factor's spin-off show on ITV2. She took over from Caroline Flack and Matt Richardson.
In October 2014, Sarah-Jane hosted the MOBO awards again. She hosted with Spice Girl Mel B on ITV2.
E! Network and Other Appearances
In February 2015, Sarah-Jane started presenting for E! Network. She hosted the BAFTA red carpet show. In June 2015, she launched a show to help E! find a new online host for the UK and Ireland.
In November 2015, she hosted the Mobo Awards for the third time. This event was at the First Direct Arena in Leeds. From December 2016 to January 2017, Sarah-Jane co-hosted World's Strongest Man for Channel 5. She co-hosted her second series of World's Strongest Man in 2017. This aired from December 2017 to January 2018. Sarah-Jane also took part in series 3 of Celebs Go Dating. This show aired on E4 in September 2017.
On May 19, 2018, Sarah-Jane was a co-presenter for E!’s royal wedding coverage. This was for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's wedding. She broadcast live from Windsor Castle. She worked with Giuliana Rancic and other presenters. This show was live in the US and UK. It was also repeated globally. Sarah-Jane also appeared in other specials about the royal wedding for E! in the US. These aired in the UK before the ceremony.
Radio Work
In October 2008, Sarah-Jane started presenting on BBC Radio 1Xtra. She filled in for other DJs. In April 2009, she got her own show. It was the early weekend breakfast slot from 7:00 am. In 2011, she started hosting the Saturday and Sunday slot from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. During this time, she launched BBC Radio 1Xtra's first Book Club. From April 2, 2012, she presented the weekday afternoon slot on BBC Radio 1Xtra.
On September 11, 2012, Sarah-Jane appeared on BBC Radio 1's Innuendo Bingo. She sometimes filled in for Aled Jones to present The Surgery on BBC Radio 1. In January 2014, she co-hosted a special show on 'Happiness' with him.
On March 8, 2014, she helped start a marathon of special shows for International Women's Day. She hosted the 7–9 pm slot on Radio 1. Sarah-Jane also filled in for MistaJam on Radio 1. She hosted a special warm-up show for Glastonbury festival.
Sarah-Jane has also covered for Gemma Cairney on The Surgery. On August 12, 2015, she hosted a show to advise students on A-level results. In 2015, she also covered on BBC Radio 1 on Saturdays and Sundays from 1 pm to 4 pm. On October 1, 2015, Sarah-Jane hosted her last show for BBC Radio 1Xtra. She had announced she was leaving to work on TV projects in Los Angeles.
In June 2018, Sarah-Jane joined Bauer media's new national station Hits Radio. She presented weeknights from 7-10 pm. She also presented The Hits Radio Top 40 on Sundays from 4-7 pm. This show later became The UK Chart Show. As of June 24, 2019, Sarah-Jane took over the 1-4 pm afternoon slot on the station. She also continued to present the chart show. Jordan Lee replaced her on evenings. Sarah-Jane now presents from 4-7 pm every weekend. She also sometimes fills in for other presenters.
Modelling and Films
Sarah-Jane has also done some modelling. ..... She was also in British Vogue in November 2008. This was part of a photo shoot called "Top of the Box." In early 2013, she signed with Models 1. In January 2014, she was on the covers of Black Hair magazine and The Sun's Fabulous magazine twice.
She appeared on the cover of Pride magazine in 2014. In June 2015, Sarah-Jane became the face of Ipanema. This is a Brazilian flip-flop brand. In September 2015, she signed with Select Model Management.
In 2013, Sarah-Jane appeared in the British film It's A Lot. It was released in UK cinemas in October 2013. She played a single mother named Lorna. In July 2016, Sarah-Jane appeared in the film The Hatton Garden Job. She played DCI Emma Carter. She acted alongside Matthew Goode, Joely Richardson, and Larry Lamb. The film was made in 2016 and released in April 2017.
