Giuliana Rancic (born August 17, 1974) is an Italian-American entertainment reporter and television host. She is best known for co-hosting the popular show E! News. She currently lives in Chicago and Los Angeles.

Early Life and Education
Giuliana was born in Naples, Italy. When she was seven years old, she and her family moved to the United States. Her father was a tailor who owned a clothing shop in Bethesda, Maryland. Growing up, Giuliana was a cheerleader at Walt Whitman High School.
When she was 21, she had surgery to fix a curve in her spine called scoliosis.
For college, Giuliana studied journalism. She earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Maryland, College Park. She then earned a master's degree from American University. While in school, she worked for a news office that reported on the U.S. government.
Career in Television
In 2002, Rancic started working as a reporter for the E! network's show E! News. By 2005, she became one of the main hosts, also called an anchor. Over the years, she hosted the show with other personalities like Ryan Seacrest and Terrence J.
She also co-hosted other shows on the E! network, including Fashion Police. She was often seen on the red carpet at big events like the Golden Globes and the Academy Awards, where she would interview celebrities.
Rancic and her husband, Bill Rancic, starred in their own reality TV show called Giuliana and Bill. She also created and produced the MTV show Celebrity Rap Superstar. She has hosted the Miss USA and Miss Universe pageants.
In 2015, Rancic made a comment about a celebrity's hairstyle that many people found offensive, which caused some controversy. Later that year, she left her role as an anchor on E! News but returned in 2018 for about a year. In 2021, she announced she was leaving her job as a red carpet host for E! after 20 years.

Restaurants and Businesses
In 2012, Giuliana and her husband opened a restaurant in Chicago called RPM Italian. The menu features some recipes from her mother. They later opened more restaurants, including RPM Steak in Chicago and another RPM Italian in Washington, D.C.. Their restaurants are popular and have been visited by famous people, including former President Barack Obama.
In 2013, she launched her own clothing line called G by Giuliana. She also started a wine brand.
Charity Work
After her experience with breast cancer, Rancic started a charity in 2013 called Fab-U-Wish. The charity grants wishes to women who are being treated for breast cancer.
Personal Life
Marriage and Family
On September 1, 2007, Giuliana married Bill Rancic in a church in Anacapri, Italy.
The couple was open about their struggles to have a child. They tried for several years, and Giuliana became pregnant in 2010 but sadly had a miscarriage.
Health
In 2011, while trying to have a baby, her doctor recommended she get a mammogram (a special x-ray). This test found that she had early-stage breast cancer. She had surgery and treatment to fight the cancer. She shared her story on the TV show Today to raise awareness.
Because of her health challenges, she and her husband decided to use a gestational surrogate to have a child. A surrogate is a woman who carries and gives birth to a baby for another couple. In August 2012, their son was born.

Awards
Rancic was named "Fan Favorite" at the 2014 Daytime Emmy Awards. She was also listed in People magazine's 100 Most Beautiful issue in 2006.
