What Sarah McKenzie Paints

Sarah McKenzie creates her art using oil and acrylic paints on canvas. She is famous for painting buildings and places that are changing. White Walls Series

From 2014 to 2020, Sarah McKenzie worked on a special series of paintings called White Walls. In these artworks, she focused on the architecture of art spaces. She painted art fair tents, simple museum rooms, and video screening areas. Her work has been inspired by ideas from a book called Inside the White Cube, which talks about how art galleries have changed over time.

In 2021, Sarah McKenzie started a new project. She began exploring the architecture of the US prison system through her art.
