Sarah Gabrielle Cabral de Menezes, born on March 26, 1990, is a famous judoka from Brazil. She made history in 2012 by becoming the first Brazilian woman to win an Olympic gold medal in judo. She achieved this amazing feat by defeating the reigning Olympic champion, Alina Dumitru. Sarah also competed in the 2008 and 2016 Summer Olympics.

Her first big medal was a bronze at the World Judo Championships in Tokyo in September 2010. After retiring from competing in 2020, Sarah Menezes began a new chapter as a coach. She was asked by the Brazilian Judo Confederation to coach the national team. At the 2024 Summer Olympics, she successfully coached Larissa Pimenta to a bronze medal and Beatriz Souza to a gold medal.
