Marta Markiewicz, known as Sarsa, is a talented singer, songwriter, and music producer from Poland. She was born on June 13, 1989. Sarsa became very popular in 2015 with her hit song "Naucz mnie" (which means "Teach me"). This song was number one on the Polish music charts for six weeks! It even earned a "diamond" award, meaning it sold a huge number of copies. Her first album, called Zapomnij mi, came out on August 28, 2015.

Sarsa's Music Journey
Starting in Music
Sarsa, whose full name is Marta Markiewicz, was born in Słupsk, Poland. She studied art education at the Pomeranian Academy in Słupsk. Sarsa began her music career in 2011. She first appeared on a TV show called Must Be the Music. Later, in 2014, she also took part in the Polish version of The X Factor.
In the same year, Sarsa joined the fifth season of The Voice of Poland. She started on singer Edyta Górniak's team. Later, she moved to the team of Tomson & Baron from the band Afromental. Sarsa had to leave the show during the quarterfinals because of health reasons.
Becoming a Star with "Naucz mnie"
After signing with Universal Music Polska, Sarsa released her first song, "Naucz mnie" (Teach me), on April 30, 2015. The music video for the song came out two weeks later. "Naucz mnie" quickly became a huge hit, reaching number one on the Polish music charts and staying there for six weeks!
In July 2015, Sarsa represented Poland at the Baltic Song Contest. She performed "Naucz mnie" and another song called "Indiana". She won the audience award at the contest.
On August 14, 2015, Sarsa released her second song, "Indiana". This song also did very well, reaching number one on the Polish new hits chart. Just two weeks later, on August 28, her first album, Zapomnij mi (Forget me), was released. The album was very popular, reaching number two on the Polish albums chart. Sarsa was nominated for "Best Polish Act" at the 2015 MTV Europe Music Awards, but another singer, Margaret, won that year. The song "Zapomnij mi" was released as the third single from her album on December 7, 2015.
New Music: Pióropusze and Beyond
In 2016, Sarsa announced that she was working on her second album. She worked with producer Steve Manowski and rapper VNM, among others. The first song from this new album, "Bronię się", was released on March 10, 2017. Her second album, Pióropusze, was released on May 26, 2017. She also released a music video for her song "Volta" on May 20, 2017.
Sarsa has continued to release new music since then. Her third album, Zakryj, came out on May 24, 2019. It also did very well on the charts.
