Marta Markiewicz (born June 13, 1989), known as Sarsa, is a singer, songwriter, and music producer from Poland. She became very popular in 2015 with her song "Naucz mnie" (which means "Teach me"). This song was number one on the Polish music charts for six weeks! Her first album, Zapomnij mi, came out on August 28, 2015. The Polish Society of the Phonographic Industry (ZPAV) gave her a diamond award for her hit song.

Starting Her Music Career
Sarsa was born Marta Markiewicz on June 13, 1989, in Słupsk, Poland. She studied art education at the Pomeranian Academy in Słupsk. Sarsa first started her music career in 2011. She took part in a TV show called Must Be the Music.
Later, in 2014, she joined two other popular TV music shows. First, she was on the Polish version of The X Factor. Then, she joined the fifth season of The Voice of Poland. She started on singer Edyta Górniak's team. Later, she moved to the team of Tomson & Baron. Sarsa had to leave the competition early because she had some health issues.
First Big Hits and Albums

After signing with Universal Music Polska, Sarsa released her first song, "Naucz mnie", on April 30, 2015. The music video for the song came out two weeks later. This song quickly became a huge hit. It reached number one on the Polish music charts and stayed there for six weeks.
In July 2015, Sarsa represented Poland at the Baltic Song Contest. She sang "Naucz mnie" and another song called "Indiana". She won a special award from the audience there. On August 14, she released her second song, "Indiana". This song also did very well. It was number one on the Polish new hits chart.
Her first album, Zapomnij mi (meaning "Forget me"), came out on August 28, 2015. The album was very popular and reached number two on the Polish albums chart. Sarsa was nominated for the Best Polish Act at the 2015 MTV Europe Music Awards. The song "Zapomnij mi" was released as the third single from the album in December.
New Music and Albums
In 2016, Sarsa announced that she was working on her second album. It was planned to be released in 2017. She worked with producer Steve Manowski and rapper VNM on this new music. The first song from this album, "Bronię się", was released on March 10, 2017. Her second official song, "Volta", also came out that year.
Her second album, Pióropusze, was released on May 26, 2017. It reached number 19 on the Polish albums chart and earned a Gold certification. Sarsa continued to release new music, including her third album, Zakryj, on May 24, 2019. This album reached number 4 on the charts and also received a Gold certification.
