Saúl Craviotto Rivero is a famous Spanish athlete. He was born on November 3, 1984. Saúl is a professional kayak racer and also works as a police officer. He is one of the most successful Olympic athletes from Spain.

Saúl has won many medals at the Olympic Games. He has earned six Olympic medals in total. These include two gold medals, two silver medals, and two bronze medals. He won his first gold medal at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing. He also won gold at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.

He was chosen to carry the flag for Spain at two Olympic ceremonies. He was the flag bearer at the closing ceremony of the 2012 Olympics. He also carried the flag at the opening ceremony of the 2020 Olympics.

Saúl has also achieved great success at the ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships. He has won seven medals there. These include three gold medals, two silver medals, and two bronze medals.

Saúl's Kayaking Journey

Saúl Craviotto started kayaking when he was just seven years old. He followed in his father's footsteps. They even competed together in some K-2 events. This means they raced in a kayak designed for two people.

Saúl is married to Celia García. They have a daughter named Valentina. He even proposed to his wife at Piccadilly Circus in London. This happened the day after he won an Olympic silver medal in 2012.

Besides being an athlete, Saúl works as a police officer in Gijón, Spain.

Beyond Kayaking

Saúl Craviotto has also appeared on television. In 2017, he took part in a cooking show called MasterChef Celebrity in Spain. He ended up winning the competition!

In 2021, Saúl became the first official ambassador for a brand called Hockerty. He also worked as a model for them.
