Communities in Schleswig

The town of Schleswig includes several smaller areas. These are called unincorporated communities. This means they are groups of homes and businesses that are not officially separate towns or cities.

Louis Corners

Louis Corners is one of these communities. You can find it where County Road XX meets Louis Corners Road. This road used to be part of WIS 149.

Millhome

Millhome is another unincorporated community. It is located near where WIS 32 and WIS 57 highways cross. This area is just north of the border between Manitowoc and Sheboygan counties. These two highways form an expressway that goes to Kiel. Millhome is also located along the Sheboygan River.

Rockville

Rockville is an unincorporated community right next to Kiel. It is on the east side of the city.

Meggers

Meggers is an unincorporated community on the border between Manitowoc and Calumet counties. It is located at the intersection of Charlesburg Road and Meggers Road. This community was named after Andrew Meggers. He bought a local store and tavern from a person named Ferdinand Rice.

The town of Schleswig was officially started on November 10, 1855. It was formed right next to the town of New Holstein.
