Scott Lawrence is an American actor born on September 27, 1963. He is well-known for playing Commander Sturgis Turner in the TV show JAG. He was on the show from 2001 until it ended in 2005. Scott Lawrence is also famous for being a voice actor for Darth Vader in many Star Wars video games. He has voiced this iconic character since 1994.

Scott Lawrence's Acting Journey
Scott Lawrence started his acting career in Hollywood in the late 1980s. He appeared in supporting roles on TV and in movies. One of his first roles was in L.A. Law, where he acted alongside James Earl Jones. He also had a repeating role on the show Murphy Brown. In the early 1990s, he was a regular on the series Bagdad Cafe, which starred Whoopi Goldberg.
Early Film Roles
His first movie appearance was in the 1990 thriller The First Power. He then appeared in the 1993 horror film Doppelganger with Drew Barrymore. Other movies he was in include Timecop with Jean-Claude Van Damme and Private Parts.
Voicing Darth Vader
From 1994 to 2006, Scott Lawrence was the voice of Darth Vader in many Star Wars video games. These games were made by LucasArts. After his work in Star Wars: Empire at War, another actor, Matt Sloan, took over the role. However, Scott Lawrence returned to voice Vader in more recent games. He voiced Vader in the Vader Immortal VR series and in the game Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order in 2019. He also voiced Vader in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor in 2023.
Later TV and Movie Appearances
In 2011, Scott Lawrence appeared in NCIS, a show that came from JAG. He played a different character in the episode "A Man Walks Into a Bar...". His movie roles also include the big hit film Avatar from 2009 and The Social Network from 2010. In 2019, he played Special Agent Billy Taggart in the Netflix series Unbelievable. He also voiced Jarek Yeager in the animated series Star Wars Resistance from 2018 to 2020.
