He played 18 games in his first NHL season, 2003–04. Sean scored his very first NHL goal against the Pittsburgh Penguins. Moving to Other NHL Teams

After the 2009–10 season, Sean left the Islanders. He signed with the Tampa Bay Lightning in 2010. In his first time playing in the Stanley Cup playoffs, he scored 9 goals in 16 games. This helped the Lightning win against the Pittsburgh Penguins and the Washington Capitals. They eventually lost to the Boston Bruins in a close seven-game series.

In 2011, Sean signed a four-year contract with the Florida Panthers. He played for the Panthers until 2015. He was then traded to the Minnesota Wild.
