Sean Curtis Green (born February 2, 1970) is an American former professional basketball player. After his playing career, he became a USA Triathlon-certified coach. He also coached a girls' basketball team. Today, Sean lives in California. He works in sports performance and hosts a podcast called "The Let Me Cook podcast."

Sean Green's Basketball Journey
Sean Green started his basketball journey in high school. He played for August Martin High School. He also joined the AAU program at Riverside Church. This program had other future basketball stars like Malik Sealy and Kenny Anderson.
High School and College Years
In 1987, Sean moved to Oak Hill Academy. He played under coach Steve Smith. After high school, he went to North Carolina State University for one year. He then transferred to Iona College. He finished his college basketball career there. In his final year at Iona, Sean was a top player. He averaged 23.2 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 1.7 steals per game. This earned him a spot on the First Team All-MAAC.
Playing in the NBA
In the 1991 NBA draft, the Indiana Pacers picked Sean Green. He was the 41st player chosen overall. Sean was the last player from Iona College to play in an NBA game for many years. Later, Scott Machado played briefly for the Houston Rockets in 2012. Sean played two years with the Indiana Pacers. Then, he decided to join the Philadelphia 76ers. During his third year, he was traded to the Utah Jazz. He finished the 1994 season with the Jazz. This was the end of his time in the NBA.
International Basketball Career
After playing in the NBA, Sean Green continued his professional career. He played for eight more years in different countries. He played in Europe, Asia, and South America. His teams were in countries like Venezuela, Israel, Italy, Philippines, Turkey, and France. He played for teams such as Maccabi Jerusalem and Darüşşafaka.
Life After Professional Basketball
In 2004, Sean Green started his own company. It was called Green Storm Fitness LLC. This company helped people train for duathlons and triathlons. It also offered personal training.
Coaching and Mentoring
In 2010, Sean became the head coach for the girls' varsity basketball team. This was at the Convent of the Sacred Heart preparatory school. In just two years, he helped the team improve a lot. Their record went from 4 wins and 14 losses to 18 wins and 7 losses in 2012. They won their first league and tournament championship in 23 years. Sean coached there for four successful years, from 2010 to 2014. His coaching record was 57 wins and 28 losses. After that, he continued to coach and train athletes in the New York City area.
