Segura de Toro is a small, charming village located in the northern part of the Cáceres province in Spain. It sits near the Tras la Sierra mountains, about 715 meters (2,346 feet) above sea level. This area has a special history, as some old objects from the Celtic people have been found here. This suggests that the village might have very ancient roots.
The village is surrounded by beautiful nature. It has several streams, with the most important one being called Garganta Ancha. Segura de Toro experiences a Mediterranean climate, which means it has hot, dry summers and mild, wet winters. It gets about 986.4 millimeters (38.8 inches) of rain each year. The village is built on strong granite rock. You can find many chestnut trees and oaks growing here, along with tree heaths and genista plants.
