Seki Matsunaga (松永 碩, Matsunaga Seki; June 25, 1928 – March 4, 2013) was a Japanese football (soccer) player. He played as a forward for the Japan national team. What's cool is that his brothers, Akira Matsunaga and Nobuo Matsunaga, also played for Japan's national team!

Seki Matsunaga was born in Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan, on June 25, 1928. After finishing his studies at Waseda University, he joined the football team of Hitachi. He played as a forward for this club.
Playing for Japan
In March 1951, while he was still a student at Waseda University, Seki Matsunaga was chosen to play for the Japan national team. This was a big deal because it was Japan's first international game after World War II.
He played in the 1951 Asian Games. On March 9, 1951, he made his first appearance for the national team in a game against Afghanistan.
Seki Matsunaga passed away on March 4, 2013, in Setagaya, Tokyo, Japan. He was 84 years old.
