Fun Activities for Visitors
When you visit the Seven Sisters Sheep Centre, there are lots of exciting things to do! You can feed the animals special feed pellets. It's also possible to bottle-feed the cute baby lambs. For a fun ride, you can even hop on a tractor! Terry Wigmore, who owns the farm, often shows visitors how he shears the sheep's wool. He also demonstrates how to milk the animals.
The Story of the Centre
Terry Wigmore started the Seven Sisters Sheep Centre in 1987. Before that, he worked as a manager for livestock on a large estate. When that estate stopped raising animals, Terry bought 120 of their sheep. He decided to start his own business. Terry noticed that many people would stop by the old farm just to watch the lambs. He thought, "Maybe I can make a living by inviting them in!" The next year, he began offering tours. Soon after, he turned it into the popular tourist attraction it is today.
