Seven Sisters station has a long history. It first opened on 22 July 1872 as part of the Great Eastern Railway. Later, on 1 January 1878, the Palace Gates Line also started serving the station. However, the Palace Gates Line closed on 7 January 1963. A new chapter began on 1 September 1968 when the Victoria Line opened, bringing the London Underground to Seven Sisters.
