Sewickley Heights is a small town, also called a borough, in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, United States. It is a quiet residential area near the city of Pittsburgh. In 2020, about 857 people lived there. Sewickley Heights is known as one of the wealthiest communities in Pennsylvania and the United States.

History of Sewickley Heights
Sewickley Heights became an official borough in 1935. However, the area's special character began much earlier. In 1902, the Allegheny Country Club moved to Sewickley Heights. This made the area popular for wealthy residents from Pittsburgh.
Many large estates were built in Sewickley Heights until the 1930s. These estates often covered hundreds of acres. Their houses were very big and grand. One famous estate was "As You Like It," owned by a rich banker named William Thaw. Another notable home was Farmhill, which hosted the famous scientist Madame Curie in 1921.
By the 1950s and 1960s, some of these grand estates started to show their age. Many of the original huge houses were torn down. Their large plots of land were then divided into smaller pieces. To keep its country feel, Sewickley Heights decided that new homes must be built on lots of at least 5 acres (about 20,000 square meters). Many homes today are on even larger plots. Some "neighborhoods" are still named after the original estates. You can often see unique stone fences from the old estates marking these areas.
In the 1960s and 1970s, land was set aside to create the Sewickley Heights Borough Park. This park is now about 600 acres (2.4 square kilometers) in size. It is famous in the region for its trails for hiking and horse riding. Sewickley Heights is also home to the Fern Hollow Nature Center and the Sewickley Heights History Center. These two places share a 33-acre (130,000 square meter) site.

The borough covers a total area of about 7.3 square miles (18.9 square kilometers). All of this area is land.
