Journey of Shaddox Creek
Shaddox Creek begins its journey in a pond. This pond is about 1 mile northeast of a town called Merry Oaks in Chatham County, North Carolina. From there, the creek flows first towards the west, then turns and flows south.
Its journey ends when it joins the Haw River. This meeting point is about 2 miles southeast of Moncure, North Carolina. Shaddox Creek is the very last stream to join the Haw River before the Haw River meets the Deep River. Together, the Haw and Deep Rivers form the much larger Cape Fear River.
