Anna Kyoyama is Yoh's fiancée and a very strong-willed girl. She is a special type of shaman called an Itako. Itako are shamans who can call upon spirits from the afterlife. Anna is very strict with Yoh and pushes him to train hard. She wants him to become the Shaman King.

Manta Oyamada: Yoh's Best Friend

Manta Oyamada is a smart and kind boy who becomes Yoh's first human friend. He is not a shaman, but he can see spirits, which is very rare for a regular person. Manta often helps Yoh with his studies and supports him in his journey. He is always there for his friends.
