Sharky & George (original name Sharky et Georges) is a fun cartoon show for kids. It was made in France and Canada by CinéGroupe and Label 35. The show aired between 1990 and 1992. It has 52 episodes, each about 25 minutes long. Some episodes were split into two shorter parts. Later, the show was translated into English. It was shown in the United Kingdom on Channel 4 from 1991 to 1998.

The Story of Sharky and George
The cartoon Sharky & George takes place in an amazing underwater city called Seacago. This city is full of all kinds of fish. The main characters are two fish who work as private detectives. They have their own detective agency.
Meet the Main Characters
Sharky is the bigger fish. He is a pink shark with a large nose and can be a bit lazy. He wears a cool fedora hat, like the famous actor Humphrey Bogart. George is the smaller fish. He is blue with a yellow face and is younger than Sharky.
Fighting Crime in Seacago
These two friends work together to stop many bad guys and gangs. These villains try to cause trouble in Seacago. Some of their enemies include Dr. Medusa (called Dr. Jelly in English). She is a mad scientist who wants to rule the world. Another villain is Red Lobster (called Colonel Klaw in English). He leads an army of Black Crabs.
Where the Show Was Seen
Sharky & George was translated into English and shown in many countries. In the United Kingdom, it was on Channel 4, Sky Channel, and The Children's Channel. People in Ireland could watch it on RTÉ Two.

The show was also popular in other parts of the world:
- In France, it was shown on Toon Disney.
- In Italy, it aired on Rai Uno, Rai Due, and Telepace.
- It was also seen in San Marino on San Marino RTV.
- Viewers in Hungary watched it on Magyar Televízió.

- It was translated into Spanish for Latin American countries. It aired in Peru on RTP (now TV Perú) and in other places.

- In South Africa, the show was broadcast on SABC. It was shown in Afrikaans on TV, with an English version playing at the same time on the radio.
Show Releases and Legacy
A few VHS tapes of Sharky & George were released in the late 1990s. However, these are now hard to find. A DVD with ten episodes of the series came out in France on November 17, 2005. This DVD is also no longer easy to buy.
