Shaver Lake is a small community in Fresno County, California, United States. It is also known as a census-designated place (CDP). This means it is a special area set up by the government for counting people.

In 2010, about 634 people lived here. Shaver Lake is located on the southwest side of the lake with the same name. It is about 10 miles (16 km) east of New Auberry. The community sits high up, at about 5,627 feet (1,715 meters) above sea level.

The name "Shaver Lake" comes from C.B. Shaver. He started the Fresno Flume and Irrigation Company. This company built the dam that created the lake. The lake was first used for a sawmill and to send wood down a long water channel (called a flume) for 65 miles (105 km) to Clovis. The original town of Shaver was covered by the lake when it was made bigger in 1919.
