Sheléa Melody Frazier, known simply as Sheléa, is an American singer, songwriter, and pianist. She is celebrated for her amazing voice and musical talent. Her song "I'll Never Let You Go" was very popular on the Billboard Adult R&B chart. Sheléa has been guided by music legends like Stevie Wonder and Quincy Jones. She also played the role of gospel singer Dorinda Clark Cole in a 2020 TV movie called The Clark Sisters: First Ladies of Gospel.

Sheléa's Life and Music Journey
Sheléa Frazier was born in Redwood City, California and grew up in Bakersfield, California. She started singing and playing the piano when she was a young child. She has said that Natalie Cole's album Unforgettable... with Love made her want to become a singer.
From 2003 to 2006, Sheléa helped write and sang the main song for the TV show All of Us.
Starting Her Professional Career
Sheléa began her professional music career working with famous producers Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis. In 2008, she sang the lead on a song called "Someone to Watch Over Me". This song was requested by the group Take 6 and was even nominated for a Grammy Award. After this, the legendary musician Stevie Wonder reached out to her to work together.
Sheléa became more widely known in 2012. She posted a YouTube video where she sang a mix of Whitney Houston's songs after Whitney's passing. This video quickly became very popular online. Later that year, she was invited to the White House to sing for the Obamas. This was during the Gershwin Prize event. The next year, Sheléa performed a special tribute to Whitney Houston at the Grammy Museum.

Sheléa's first album, Love Fell On Me, came out in 2013. Her song "I'll Never Let You Go" from that album reached number 23 on Billboard's Adult R&B chart. She also wrote and performed the song "Love Fell On Me" for the 2011 movie Jumping the Broom.
In 2019, she released an album called Pretty World. A Tribute to Allen & Marilyn Bergman. This album featured other great artists like Stevie Wonder and Kirk Whalum. Later that same year, Quincy Jones produced a special concert show on PBS featuring Sheléa. The show was called Quincy Jones Presents: Sheléa, and it included a performance with David Foster.
Sheléa also showed her acting skills in 2020. She starred in The Clark Sisters: First Ladies of Gospel, a movie about the famous Clark Sisters. In the film, she played the role of Dorinda Clark-Cole.
Mentors and Inspirations
Sheléa is guided by Stevie Wonder and is a special student of Quincy Jones. She was a backup singer for Stevie Wonder's Songs in the Key of Life Tour in 2014 and 2015. In 2018, she performed regularly for two months at Quincy Jones' Q's Bar & Lounge in Dubai.
She has often said that Whitney Houston is one of her biggest inspirations in music.
