Sheléa Melody Frazier, known as Sheléa (pronounced "shuh-lay-yuh"), is an American singer, songwriter, and pianist. Her song "I'll Never Let You Go" reached number 23 on the Billboard Adult R&B chart in 2014. She is guided by music legend Stevie Wonder and is a special student of Quincy Jones. Sheléa played gospel singer Dorinda Clark Cole in the 2020 Lifetime movie, The Clark Sisters: First Ladies of Gospel.

Early Life and Start in Music
Sheléa Frazier was born in Redwood City, California. She grew up in Bakersfield, California. Sheléa has been singing and playing the piano since she was a young child. She has said that Natalie Cole's album Unforgettable...with Love made her want to become a singer.
From 2003 to 2006, Sheléa helped write and sang the main song for the TV show All of Us.
Big Moments and First Album
Sheléa started her professional music career working with famous producers Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis. In 2008, she sang the lead on the song "Someone to Watch Over Me". This song was nominated for a Grammy. After this, Stevie Wonder asked her to work with him.
Sheléa became more widely known in 2012. She posted a YouTube video singing a mix of Whitney Houston songs after Whitney's death. This video became very popular online. Later that year, she was invited to the White House to sing for the Obamas. This was during the Gershwin Prize event. The next year, Sheléa performed a special tribute to Whitney Houston at the Grammy Museum.
Sheléa's first album, Love Fell On Me, came out in 2013. The song "I'll Never Let You Go" from this album reached number 23 on the Billboard Adult R&B chart. She also wrote and sang the song "Love Fell On Me" for the 2011 movie Jumping the Broom.
In 2019, she released another album called Pretty World. A Tribute to Allen & Marilyn Bergman. This album featured Stevie Wonder and Kirk Whalum. Later that year, Quincy Jones produced a special concert for PBS featuring Sheléa. This show was called Quincy Jones Presents: Sheléa. David Foster also performed with her.
In 2020, she starred in the movie The Clark Sisters: First Ladies of Gospel. She played Dorinda Clark-Cole in the film.
Working with Music Legends
Sheléa is guided by Stevie Wonder and is a special student of Quincy Jones. She was a backup singer for Stevie Wonder's "Songs in the Key of Life Tour" in 2014 and 2015. In 2018, she performed for two months at Quincy Jones' Q's Bar & Lounge in Dubai.
She has said that Whitney Houston is one of her biggest inspirations in music.
