Sherwood is a small area in the state of South Australia, Australia. It is located about 222 kilometers (138 miles) south-east of Adelaide, which is the capital city of South Australia. Sherwood is also about 30 kilometers (19 miles) north-west of Bordertown.

Sherwood officially became a recognized place on March 16, 2000. This was done to give a formal name to an area that people had known by that name for a long time.

The main road in Sherwood is Emu Flat Road. This road goes through the area, starting from the Ngarkat Highway in the east. The highway actually forms the eastern edge of Sherwood. Emu Flat Road then goes west and ends in the town center of Keith.
