Shiprock High School is a public high school located in Shiprock, New Mexico in the USA. It's part of the Central Consolidated School District. The Performing Arts Center
The Phil L. Thomas Performing Arts Center is a special place at Shiprock High. It's used for all sorts of live shows. You can see dance performances, music concerts, and theatre plays here. The center has even hosted big events like the Navajo Times All-Star banquet for athletes.

Sports Facilities
Shiprock High School has many great places for sports. Chieftain Stadium is a large field used for football games and track and field events. It can also be used for soccer.
The school also has:
- The Chieftain Pit: This is where basketball and volleyball games happen.
- The Natatorium: A place for swimming.
- Fields for baseball and softball.
- A 4-court tennis complex.
- A cross country course.
- A weight room for training.
- More basketball courts.
In 2011, the Navajo Nation and Shiprock High School hosted the Native Vision Sports Camp. About 800 young people from over 15 tribal nations attended. Professional and college athletes volunteered to coach six different sports.
Sports and Activities
The main basketball area is called "the pit." It can hold up to 4,000 fans! In 1999, a newspaper called the Gallup Independent reported that girls' varsity basketball games often sold out all the seats.
The Shiprock Chieftains have won 16 state championships from the New Mexico Activities Association (NMAA). They have also won many district titles. Shiprock High School is part of the NMAA Class AAAA schools in District 1-AAAA.

State Championship Wins
The Shiprock Lady Chieftains basketball team has won the New Mexico State Girls Basketball Championship six times! Their most recent win was in 2017. They also won in 1988, 1989, 1990, 1992, and 2002.
The Shiprock JROTC program also won its state title two years in a row (2017 and 2018). This adds to the school's total of 16 state team titles across all sports. Shiprock High School has also won many district titles and had many individual state champions.
