Shivrampant Damle was an important Indian educator. He was born on April 14, 1900, in Maval and passed away on July 25, 1977, in Pune. He is most famous for starting an organization called the Maharashtriya Mandal in 1924.

Early Life and Education
Shivrampant Damle was born on April 14, 1900. His parents were Vishnu and Lakshmi Damle. He was one of eight children in his family.
He went to school at the Nutan Marathi Vidyalaya in Pune. Later, he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Sir Parshurambhau College.
Founding the Maharashtriya Mandal
After finishing his studies, Shivrampant Damle started the Maharashtriya Mandal in 1924. This was a very important step in his life. He served as the first secretary of this new organization.
In 1930, he became the governor of the Maharashtriya Mandal. He held this position until 1942.
Military Service
From 1942 to 1948, Shivrampant Damle joined the British Indian Army. During this time, World War II was happening. He was stationed in a place called Belgaum.
Return to Education and Leadership
After his time in the army, Shivrampant Damle returned to his work in education. From 1951 to 1975, he again served as the governor of the Maharashtriya Mandal.
He continued to found many schools to help more children get an education:
- In 1963, he started the Seth Dagduram Kataria High School.
- In 1964, he founded the Indirabai Karandikar Primary School on Tilak Road in Pune.
- In 1968 and 1970, he started more primary schools that taught in the Marathi language. He especially focused on women's education, helping girls and women get schooling.
On July 1, 1977, he founded the Chandrashekhar Agashe College of Physical Education in Gultekdi, Pune. He had been working towards creating this college since 1938.
Family Life
Shivrampant Damle was married to Kamlabai Bapat. She passed away in 1968. They had two children together: a son named Ramesh, born in 1935, and a daughter named Sunanda, born in 1937.
Shivrampant Damle passed away on July 25, 1977. After his death, his son, Ramesh, took over his role as the governor of the Maharashtriya Mandal.
