Rashoderick "Shock" Linwood, born on October 13, 1993, is a former American college football player. He was a talented running back for the Baylor Bears football team at Baylor University.

Shock Linwood's Early Football Days
Shock Linwood grew up in Linden, Texas. He went to Linden-Kildare High School. There, he was a star running back for his school's football team.
High School Achievements
Linwood was an amazing athlete in high school. He played many positions, including quarterback, linebacker, and defensive back. He was also a kick returner. In 2010, as a junior, he helped his team reach the regional semifinals. He ran for 1,473 yards and scored 18 touchdowns. He also caught passes for 138 yards and two more scores.
As a senior in 2011, Linwood continued to shine. He rushed for 2,105 yards and 25 touchdowns. This was one of the best rushing totals in the state. He also threw for 729 yards and five touchdowns. Linwood was named the best player in his district. He was also recognized as a top running back in East Texas.
Track and Field
Besides football, Linwood was also good at track & field. He was a sprinter. His fastest time in the 100-meter dash was 10.98 seconds.
College Football Career
Shock Linwood played college football for the Baylor Bears football team. He joined Baylor University in 2012.
Starting at Baylor
Linwood did not play in any games during his first year, 2012. This is called a "redshirt" year. It allows players to practice and develop without using a year of their college eligibility.
In 2013, as a redshirt freshman, he started playing. He was a backup running back but got to start two games. He set a new school record for freshmen. He rushed for 881 yards and scored 8 touchdowns. Because of his great performance, he earned Freshman All-American honors.
Sophomore Success
In 2014, Linwood became the main running back. He had an excellent season. He rushed for 1,252 yards and scored 16 touchdowns. He helped lead Baylor to win their second straight Big 12 championship.
Junior Year and Recognition
During the 2015 season, Linwood continued to play well. He was even considered a possible candidate for the Heisman Trophy. This award goes to the most outstanding player in college football.
Senior Season
In 2016, Linwood played most of the regular season games. The Baylor Bears finished with a 6-6 record. Linwood decided not to play in the post-season Cactus Bowl. He chose to focus on preparing for a possible career in the NFL.
