Shorewood is a city located in Hennepin County, Minnesota, in the United States. It is a lovely place to live, especially because it is right next to Lake Minnetonka. In 2010, about 7,307 people lived there. A main road called State Highway 7 helps people travel in and out of the city.

Shorewood's Location and Land
Shorewood is a city with a mix of land and water. It covers about 13.33 square miles (34.52 square kilometers) in total. A big part of this area, about 7.99 square miles (20.69 square kilometers), is water. This is because the city is located on Lake Minnetonka.
Shorewood also includes some islands in Lake Minnetonka. These are called Spray Island, Shady Island, and part of Enchanted Island. Even though these islands are part of Shorewood, they are easier to reach from a nearby city called Mound. Mound helps the island residents with things like mail, fire protection, and schools.
