Silver Grove is a small city in Campbell County, Kentucky. It is located right along the Ohio River. In 2020, about 1,154 people lived there. Silver Grove is known as a "home rule-class city," which means it has its own local government.

History of Silver Grove
Silver Grove started as a special kind of town called a railroad town in 1911. It was built for the Chesapeake and Ohio Railway, a big train company.
In 1914, Silver Grove was considered a very modern place. It had electric lights, a system for water and sewers, a fire department, a school, and a large park.
Later, in 1948, the train company decided they no longer wanted to be involved with the city. In 1951, Gerald Losey became the first mayor of Silver Grove.
Geography of Silver Grove
Silver Grove is in the northeastern part of Campbell County. It sits on the south bank of the Ohio River.
A road called Kentucky Route 8 goes through the city. This road leads northwest about 8 miles to Dayton. It also goes southeast about 32 miles to Augusta. Downtown Cincinnati, Ohio, is about 10 miles to the northwest.
The city covers a total area of about 4.3 square kilometers (1.64 square miles). Most of this area is land, about 2.9 square kilometers (1.13 square miles). The rest, about 1.4 square kilometers (0.51 square miles), is water.
