Simon Biwott (born 3 March 1970) is a famous former long-distance runner from Kenya. He is best known for winning the silver medal in the men's marathon race at the 2001 World Championships in Athletics. This big event took place in Edmonton, Canada.
A year after his silver medal win, Simon Biwott won the Rotterdam Marathon. He also won several other marathons, including races in Cancún, Mexico City (in 1998), Berlin, Milan (in 2000), and Paris (in 2001). His fastest time in a marathon was 2 hours, 6 minutes, and 49 seconds. He achieved this amazing time at the 2002 Berlin Marathon.
After his running career, Simon Biwott started a private school in his hometown of Eldoret, Kenya.
