Sindarius Dyquann Thornwell was born on November 15, 1994. He is an American professional basketball player. He currently plays for the Xinjiang Flying Tigers in the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA). Before becoming a pro, he played college basketball for the South Carolina Gamecocks. In the 2017 NBA draft, the Milwaukee Bucks picked him as the 48th player overall. He was then traded to the Los Angeles Clippers.

High School Basketball Journey
Sindarius Thornwell started his high school basketball career at Lancaster High School in South Carolina. He played there for three years. For his final year, he moved to Oak Hill Academy.
Top Player at Oak Hill
At Oak Hill Academy, Sindarius was a star player.

Sindarius Thornwell decided to play college basketball for the South Carolina Gamecocks. He committed to the team on October 2, 2012.
Freshman Year Success
In his first year (freshman year), Sindarius was the second-highest scorer for his team.

Professional Basketball Career
After his amazing college career, Sindarius Thornwell began his professional journey.
Playing for the Los Angeles Clippers (2017–2019)
On June 22, 2017, Sindarius was chosen by the Milwaukee Bucks in the NBA draft. However, his draft rights were quickly traded to the Los Angeles Clippers. He officially signed with the Clippers on July 26, 2017.
Time with the Rio Grande Valley Vipers (2019–2020)
After leaving the Clippers, Sindarius signed with the Cleveland Cavaliers in August 2019. He played in a few preseason games but was later waived. On October 26, 2019, he joined the Rio Grande Valley Vipers. This team is part of the G-League, which is like a development league for the NBA. During the 2019–20 season, he averaged 9.2 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 4.6 assists per game.
Joining the New Orleans Pelicans (2020–2021)
On July 6, 2020, Sindarius signed with the New Orleans Pelicans to finish the 2019–20 season. He re-signed with them on December 1, 2020. He later signed a couple of 10-day contracts with the Pelicans in early 2021.
Short Stint with the Orlando Magic (2021)
On May 4, 2021, Sindarius signed a two-way contract with the Orlando Magic. This type of contract allows players to play for both an NBA team and its G-League affiliate. He played in seven games for the Magic.
Playing Overseas: Germany and Turkey (2021–2022)
Sindarius then moved to play basketball in Europe.
- On November 11, 2021, he signed with ratiopharm Ulm in Germany.
- In October 2022, he joined Frutti Extra Bursaspor in Turkey.
Playing in Poland and China (2024–Present)
Sindarius continued his international career.
- On August 23, 2024, he signed with Zastal Zielona Góra in Poland. He left the team in February 2025.
- Soon after, on February 11, 2025, he joined the Xinjiang Flying Tigers in China, where he plays today.
