Singac (pronounced SING-ack) is a small community in New Jersey, USA. It is located within a larger area called Little Falls, in Passaic County. Singac is known as an "unincorporated community" and a "census-designated place" (CDP). This means it's a recognized area for collecting population data, but it doesn't have its own separate local government like a town would.
In 2020, about 3,602 people lived in Singac. The name Singac might come from the Lenape Native American language. Some believe it means "backbone of mountain" or "flat country." It could also mean "boggy meadow," which makes sense because the area can flood after heavy rain.
