Sinitta Malone, known simply as Sinitta, is a British-American singer and TV star. She became famous in the mid-1980s with her hit song "So Macho". She had many other popular songs during that time. Later, in the 2000s, she became well-known for appearing on TV shows like Loose Women and The Xtra Factor. In 2011, she was also a contestant on I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!.

Early Life and Beginnings
Sinitta was born in Seattle, Washington, in the United States. Her mother, Miquel Brown, was a well-known disco-soul singer in the 1970s and 1980s. Sinitta traveled a lot with her mother when she was young.
When she was nine, Sinitta moved to England. She went to boarding school and ballet school there. She loved performing from a young age. At 12, she acted in the musical The Wiz in London while still going to school.
Music and TV Career
Starting Out in Entertainment
Sinitta began her career in 1981, appearing in the film Shock Treatment. She also performed in several famous shows in London's West End. These included the first ever production of the musical Cats and Little Shop of Horrors.
Rise to Pop Stardom
In 1986, Sinitta released her song "So Macho". It slowly climbed the UK music charts and eventually reached number 2, becoming her biggest hit. The song was also popular in other countries like Sweden and Australia.
After "So Macho", Sinitta worked with famous music producers Stock Aitken Waterman (SAW). Their first song together was "Toy Boy" in 1987. This song was a big success, reaching number 4 in the UK and doing well in many other European countries.
She then released "GTO", which reached number 15 in the UK and was a hit in Spain. Sinitta's first album, Sinitta!, came out and reached number 34 in the UK. In 1988, she released "Cross My Broken Heart", which reached number 6 in the UK.
New Music and More Hits
In 1989, Sinitta released her second album, Wicked. The main song from this album was "Right Back Where We Started From". This song was very popular, reaching number 4 in the UK. It was also a big hit in Australia and New Zealand.
She followed up with "Love on a Mountain Top", which reached number 20 in the UK. In 1990, she released "Hitchin' a Ride", which reached number 20 in the UK.
Later Music and TV Appearances
In 1992, Sinitta released "Shame Shame Shame". In 1995, she released an album of cover songs called Naughty Naughty.
From 2004, Sinitta became a regular face on The X Factor. She often helped Simon Cowell choose the contestants for the live shows. She helped pick successful acts like Leona Lewis and One Direction. In 2011, she also helped Louis Walsh with his choices.
Sinitta appeared on other TV shows too. In 2007, she was a judge on Grease Is the Word. She joined the cast of Loose Women as a presenter in 2008. In 2011, she was a contestant on I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here!.
She also appeared on Celebrity Come Dine with Me in 2013 and competed on the reality TV show The Jump in 2014. Sinitta returned to music in 2014 with her song "So Many Men, So Little Time". She also continued to appear on The Xtra Factor as a presenter.
In recent years, Sinitta has appeared on shows like Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway and Celebrity Masterchef. In 2021, she released her first Christmas song, "I Won't Be Lonely This Christmas". She also appeared as Kangaroo on a special episode of The Masked Singer.
Personal Life
Sinitta was married to Andy Willner from 2002 to 2010. They have two adopted children together.
