Skyler Augustus Gisondo (born July 22, 1996) is an American actor. He is known for his roles in popular movies like Licorice Pizza, Booksmart, and Vacation. He also appeared in TV shows such as Psych, The Righteous Gemstones, and Santa Clarita Diet. In 2025, he played Jimmy Olsen in the movie Superman.

About Skyler Gisondo
Early Life and School
Skyler Gisondo was born in Palm Beach County, Florida, on July 22, 1996. His parents, Stacey and Ron, are both ocean engineers. Skyler's last name comes from his Italian-American grandfather. His other grandparents were Jewish.
He started acting a lot when he was young, so he was homeschooled for several years. He was very involved in the Jewish community during high school. He attended Camp Alonim and went on a trip to Israel with USY (United Synagogue Youth). He graduated from Milken Community High School in Los Angeles in 2014.
Skyler grew up in Florida and later moved to South Bay, Los Angeles. In 2015, he started studying film at the University of Southern California. He took a break to film Santa Clarita Diet but plans to finish his degree.
Skyler's Acting Journey
Skyler Gisondo began acting on TV when he was six years old. His mom sent his photos to talent agencies in Southern California. This led to his first successful audition for a national Pizza Hut commercial.
First Roles in the 2000s
In 2003, Skyler first appeared on TV in the show Miss Match. He played Jeffrey in an episode called "Forgive and Forget." In 2006, he made his first movie appearance in Jam, playing a character named Robert. He also voiced B-Dawg in the movie Air Buddies.
From 2007 to 2009, Skyler had a main role in the TV show The Bill Engvall Show. He acted alongside Bill Engvall and Jennifer Lawrence. He won an award for Outstanding Young Performers in a TV Series for this role.
In 2007, Skyler was in the horror movie Halloween. He also appeared in the comedy film Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story. In 2008, he continued voicing B-Dawg in Snow Buddies. He also appeared in the Christmas comedy movie Four Christmases. In 2009, he voiced B-Dawg again in Space Buddies and Santa Buddies.
Acting in the 2010s
In 2010, Skyler had a recurring role in the detective comedy show Psych. He played a younger version of the main character, Shawn Spencer. In 2011, he was in Spooky Buddies, playing both a live-action character and voicing B-Dawg. He won another award for his work in this film.
In 2012, Skyler voiced B-Dawg in Treasure Buddies. He also played a young Moe Howard in The Three Stooges. He appeared as Howard Stacy in the superhero movie The Amazing Spider-Man. In 2014, he returned for the sequel, The Amazing Spider-Man 2.
Also in 2014, Skyler was in Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb. He played Nicholas "Nick" Daley, a role previously played by another actor. He starred alongside Ben Stiller and Robin Williams.
In 2015, Skyler starred in the comedy movie Vacation. He played James Griswold. In 2016, he was in the movie Hard Sell.
From 2017 to 2019, Skyler had a main role in the comedy horror series Santa Clarita Diet. He played Eric Bemis, acting with Drew Barrymore and Timothy Olyphant. In 2019, he joined the cast of The Righteous Gemstones as Gideon Gemstone. He also appeared in the movie Booksmart as Jared.

In 2020, Skyler was in the documentary-drama film The Social Dilemma. He also starred in the comedy film The Binge.
In 2021, he appeared in the movie The Starling and the comedy-drama film Licorice Pizza. From 2021 to 2022, Skyler voiced Dale in the animated comedy series Fairfax. In 2022, he played Sam Knowlston in the mystery series The Resort.
In July 2025, Skyler appeared as Jimmy Olsen in the movie Superman.
Skyler's Personal Life
Skyler lives in Manhattan Beach.
While filming Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb, Skyler asked his co-stars Ben Stiller and Robin Williams for help. He wanted to film a special video to ask his girlfriend to senior prom. They made a funny three-minute video with Crystal the Monkey to help him out!
