Skyler Augustus Gisondo (born July 22, 1996) is an American actor. He is famous for his roles in movies like Licorice Pizza, Booksmart, and Vacation. You might also know him from TV shows such as Psych, The Righteous Gemstones, and Santa Clarita Diet.

About Skyler Gisondo
Early Life and School
Skyler Gisondo was born on July 22, 1996, in Palm Beach County, Florida. His parents, Stacey and Ron, are both ocean engineers. This means they design and build things that work in the ocean.
Skyler's last name comes from his grandfather, who was Italian-American. His other grandparents were Jewish. As he started acting more often, he was homeschooled for several years.
In high school, he was part of a Jewish group called USY. He even went to Israel with a program offered by them. He graduated from Milken Community High School in Los Angeles in 2014.
After high school, Skyler started attending the University of Southern California's film school in 2015. He plans to finish his college education.
Starting His Acting Career (2000s)
Skyler began acting on TV when he was just six years old. His mom sent his photos to talent agencies in Southern California. This led to his first big job: a national Pizza Hut commercial!
In 2003, Skyler first appeared on TV in the show Miss Match. He played a character named Jeffrey. In 2006, he made his first movie appearance in Jam. He also voiced B-Dawg in the movie Air Buddies.
From 2007 to 2009, Skyler had a main role in The Bill Engvall Show. He acted alongside Jennifer Lawrence in this sitcom. For his work, he won an award for Outstanding Young Performers in a TV Series.
Skyler also appeared in the horror film Halloween in 2007. He was also in the comedy movie Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story. In 2008, he continued voicing B-Dawg in Snow Buddies. He also appeared in the Christmas comedy Four Christmases. In 2009, he voiced B-Dawg again in Space Buddies and Santa Buddies.
Growing Up on Screen (2010s)
In the early 2010s, Skyler had a recurring role in the TV show Psych. He played a younger version of the main character, Shawn Spencer. In 2011, he was in Spooky Buddies, both as a voice actor and in live-action. He won another award for his part in this movie.
Skyler continued voicing B-Dawg in Treasure Buddies in 2012. He also played a young Moe Howard in The Three Stooges movie. That same year, he appeared in the superhero film The Amazing Spider-Man. He played Howard Stacy. He returned to this role in the sequel, The Amazing Spider-Man 2, in 2014.
In 2014, Skyler played Nicholas "Nick" Daley in Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb. This movie starred Ben Stiller.
In 2015, Skyler starred in the comedy movie Vacation. He acted alongside Ed Helms and Christina Applegate. In 2016, he was in the comedy-drama Hard Sell.
Skyler starred in the romantic comedy Class Rank in 2017. He also appeared in the comedy miniseries Wet Hot American Summer: Ten Years Later. From 2017 to 2019, Skyler had a main role in the comedy horror series Santa Clarita Diet. He played Eric Bemis, acting with Drew Barrymore and Timothy Olyphant.
In 2018, Skyler co-starred in the sci-fi comedy Time Freak. He also starred in the comedy movie Feast of the Seven Fishes.
In 2019, Skyler took on a main role in the TV series The Righteous Gemstones. He plays Gideon Gemstone. He also appeared in the popular movie Booksmart, playing Jared. He was also in the drama film The Cat and the Moon.
Recent Work (2020s)
In 2020, Skyler appeared in the film The Social Dilemma, which is about social media. He also starred in the comedy film The Binge.
In 2021, he was in the fantasy comedy-drama movie The Starling. He also appeared in the comedy-drama film Licorice Pizza.
From 2021 to 2022, Skyler voiced Dale in the animated comedy series Fairfax. In 2022, he played Sam Knowlston in the mystery series The Resort.
In late 2023, Skyler was chosen to play Jimmy Olsen in the upcoming Superman movie, set for 2025.
Skyler's Personal Life
Skyler lives in Manhattan Beach.
While filming Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb, Skyler asked his co-stars Ben Stiller and Robin Williams for help. He wanted to film a "promposal" to ask his girlfriend to his senior prom. They made a funny three-minute video with Crystal the Monkey to help him!
