Slate Falls Nation (which is called Shakopaatikoong in the Ojibwe language) is a special community of First Nations people. They are part of the Ojibwe group. This community has its own government, known as a band government, in Ontario, Canada. They live in a place called Slate Falls, which is a settlement located in the Kenora District of Ontario. In 2016, there were 241 people officially registered with the Slate Falls Nation. Out of these, 9 people lived directly on the Slate Falls settlement land.
