Soda Bay is a small community in Lake County, California. It is called a census-designated place because it is a special area defined by the government for counting people. Soda Bay is located right on the shores of Clear Lake.
It is about 7.5 miles (12 kilometers) east-southeast of Lakeport. The area sits at an elevation of 1,398 feet (426 meters) above sea level. In 2010, the population of Soda Bay was 1,016 people. Long ago, around 1910, there was a popular resort here called Soda Bay Springs. It could host up to 150 visitors at a time.
