Somo is a small town located in Lincoln County, Wisconsin, in the United States. In 2010, about 114 people lived there. Some parts of the nearby communities called Clifford and Tripoli are also found within Somo.
Where is Somo Located?
Somo is in the northwest part of Lincoln County. To its north is Oneida County, and to its west is Price County. A main road, U.S. Route 8, goes along the northern edge of Somo. This road passes through Tripoli and can take you to other towns like Tomahawk (east) or Prentice (west).
Somo covers about 94 square kilometers (36 square miles) in total. Most of this area is land, with a small part being water. Rivers are important here! The northern and eastern parts of Somo are drained by the Somo River and its smaller streams. The southern and western parts are drained by streams that flow into the Spirit River. Both the Somo River and the Spirit River flow east and eventually join the larger Wisconsin River.
