Sonadora is a special kind of neighborhood called a barrio in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico. Guaynabo is one of the many towns in Puerto Rico. In 2010, about 1,334 people lived in Sonadora. It's a small but important part of the Guaynabo area.

History of Sonadora
How Puerto Rico Became Part of the U.S.
Long ago, after the Spanish–American War ended in 1898, Spain gave Puerto Rico to the United States. This was part of a deal called the Treaty of Paris of 1898. Because of this, Puerto Rico became a territory of the United States.
Early Population Counts
In 1899, the United States government did a count of all the people in Puerto Rico. This count, called a census, found that 729 people lived in the Sonadora barrio at that time. Over the years, the number of people living in Sonadora has changed.
