Sonia Mkoloma, born on January 17, 1979, is a famous English netball player. She used to play for the England national team. Sonia started playing for England in 1999. She competed in many big tournaments during her career. These included the Netball World Championships and the Commonwealth Games.
In 2009, Sonia was chosen to play for a special "World 7" team. This team was coached by Julie Fitzgerald. They won against New Zealand in a series of games. In England, she played for the Surrey Storm team. She played there with her good friend and teammate, Geva Mentor.
Sonia also played in a big league called the ANZ Championship. She played for Central Pulse in 2008. Then, in 2009, she played for Canterbury Tactix. From 2010 to 2014, she joined the New South Wales Swifts team. Sonia was also part of the England team for the 2011 World Championships and the 2015 World Cup.
On April 11, 2011, Sonia played her 50th game in the ANZ Championship. She left the Swifts in 2014 after playing 69 games over five seasons. She played a total of 95 games in the ANZ Championship.
