Sooty is a fun British children's television series. It was created and presented by Richard Cadell. The show first aired on CITV on November 5, 2001, and ran for three series. This version of Sooty was the fourth TV show in the popular Sooty family of shows. It took over from Sooty Heights.
Richard Cadell was joined by co-presenters Vicki Lee Taylor and Brenda Longman (in the first series), and later Sheila Clark. The show is all about Sooty and his puppet friends running a hotel. It brought back some old characters and introduced new ones.
The show was first made by Gullane Entertainment. After the first series, HIT Entertainment bought the company. HIT decided to cut costs and change things, like using new puppets. This led to some people leaving the show. Sooty was eventually cancelled in January 2004 because fewer people were watching it.

About the Sooty Show
The Sooty show is about the funny adventures of Sooty and his friends. They include Sweep, Soo, and Little Cousin Scampi. They all work together to manage a hotel. Their human friends, Richard Cadell and Vicki Lee Taylor, help them out.
They are also joined by Butch, a dog who tries different jobs at the hotel. Miki, a Brazilian cat, works as the hotel's chef. The show uses many ideas from older Sooty shows. These include silly humor, special guest stars, and fun music and songs.
