A Look Back in Time

Springdale has a history tied to its services. The Springdale Post Office first opened its doors on 1 November 1897. It served the community for many years before closing in 1977.

A railway station was also an important part of Springdale. It was on the branch line that went to Lake Cargelligo. The station helped connect the community from 1893 until 1975.
