Stockinbingal's Important Railway
Stockinbingal is a key spot for trains. It has a railway junction where different lines connect. One line goes from Cootamundra to Lake Cargelligo. This part of the railway was finished in 1893.
Another line connects Stockinbingal to Parkes. This route is very important for moving goods. It offers an easier way for freight trains to travel from Sydney to Perth. This is because it avoids the very steep hills of the Blue Mountains route.
The railway from Cootamundra through Stockinbingal to Parkes also helps trains bypass Sydney. This is useful for freight traveling between Melbourne and Brisbane. These trains can go through places like Dubbo, Werris Creek, and Maitland.
