Springville is a small community in Tulare County, California, United States. It is known as a census-designated place (CDP), which means it's a special area defined by the U.S. Census Bureau for statistical purposes. In 2020, about 967 people lived there.
The town was first called "Daunt" in 1860, named after William Daunt, who opened the first store. Later, in January 1911, its name was changed to "Springville." This new name came from the "soda springs" found in the area.
