The spurred big-eyed tree frog (Nyctimystes pulcher) is a type of tree frog that lives in New Guinea. These frogs can be found on the lower parts of mountains, usually around 1,500 meters (about 4,900 feet) above sea level. They live across the middle of the island, in both Indonesia and Papua New Guinea.
This frog is one of the biggest species in its group, Nyctimystes. The Latin word pulchra means "pale" or "fair," which might describe its appearance.
