Square One Television (often called Square One or Square One TV) was an American TV show for kids. It was made by the Children's Television Workshop, which is now called Sesame Workshop. The show's main goal was to teach mathematics and tricky math ideas to young viewers in a fun way.
The show was created and shown on PBS in the United States. It first aired on January 26, 1987, and its last new episode was on November 6, 1992. Square One was made to help American schoolchildren get better at math. After the new episodes stopped, the show was shown again in reruns until October 7, 1994. Later, it came back for the 1995–1996 PBS season as a program for teachers, called Square One TV Math Talk.
Square One also aired on the cable television channel Noggin. It started showing there on February 2, 1999. However, it was taken off Noggin's schedule on March 31, 2002, along with some other shows.

The show was so important that it was even brought back later. From 1995 to 1996, it was used as a special program. This version, called Square One TV Math Talk, helped teachers learn how to use the show in their classrooms.

Even after its original run on PBS, Square One found a new home. The cable television channel Noggin started showing the program. It began airing on Noggin on February 2, 1999. This allowed a new generation of kids to discover the show. However, Square One was eventually removed from Noggin's lineup on March 31, 2002.
