Srđan Pecelj's Club Career
Srđan Pecelj began his football journey in the youth teams of Velež Mostar. He played for their main team during the 1991–92 season.
Playing in Serbia and Spain
After his time at Velež Mostar, Srđan moved to Serbia. He joined Red Star Belgrade, a well-known club. However, he did not play much there. The next season, he moved to another club in Belgrade called Železnik.
In 1994, Srđan made a big move to Barcelona in Spain. He played for their "B" team, Barcelona B, for two years. It was hard to get into the main team because there were many talented players.
Returning to Serbia and Playing in Other Countries
After his time in Spain, Srđan came back to Serbia. He played one season for Čukarički, another club from Belgrade. Then, he returned to Red Star Belgrade and played there for two more seasons until 1999.
That summer, he moved to Greece and played for Paniliakos for two years. In 2001, he played one season for a Russian club called Sokol Saratov.
Later Career in Japan, Austria, and Croatia
Srđan then moved to Japan and played for Shimizu S-Pulse in the J1 League. He also played in the Austrian Bundesliga for Admira Wacker. In the second half of the 2007–08 season, he played for SK Schwadorf 1936.
From the summer of 2008, he played in Croatia for Inter Zaprešić, which was a strong team in the Prva HNL League. After two seasons there, he moved to NK Novalja for the 2010–11 season.
Srđan Pecelj's International Career
Srđan Pecelj also played for his country. In 1997, he played two matches for the FR Yugoslavia Under-21 team.
He later played five matches for the Bosnia and Herzegovina national football team. All of these games were part of the Merdeka Cup in Malaysia in June 2001.
Personal Life
Srđan Pecelj has a brother named Miljan, who is also a football player.
