St Anthony's Football Club is a Scottish football team based in Glasgow. People often call them the Ants. They play in cool green-and-white striped kits. The club is currently part of the league.

The Story of St Anthony's FC

St Anthony's FC started way back in 1902. For a long time, they were part of the Scottish Junior Football Association. This was a league for smaller, local clubs. In 2020, things changed! Many local clubs, including St Anthony's, joined a new league. This was the West of Scotland Football League. It meant they became part of the bigger Scottish football system for the first time.

The Ants first played in the Govan area of Glasgow. Later, they moved to two different grounds near Ibrox Stadium. That's where Rangers play! St Anthony's has strong links to Celtic. The club began through a local group called the League of the Cross. This group helped people from the Irish community.

Since 1999, their home ground has been McKenna Park. You can find it in Shieldhall, just north of the M8 motorway. Even though it's in Shieldhall, some people still say it's in Cardonald. That's because the motorway was built through Cardonald Park.

The team reached the final of the Scottish Junior Cup twice. This was a big achievement! They made it to the final in 1919 and again in 1925. Sadly, they didn't win the trophy either time. They did win other local honors. For example, they won the West of Scotland Junior Cup in 1938. After World War II, they didn't win as many major titles.
